About
Cait Platz is an independent educator in Washington State.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Cait first moved to the West Coast through the National Student Exchange program. She graduated from the University of Washington's Comparative Literature and Cinema Studies programs. She went on to study Philosophy and Media Studies at New School University in New York City, which led to a graduate residency program at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Between graduate school and teacher training, Cait returned to the University of Washington to work in Admissions, supporting transfer students. This experience led Cait to recognize that she was inextricably connected to education and wished to facilitate student learning from the ground up. Cait enrolled in the M.Ed. Waldorf program at Antioch, New England, taking her first class at The Waldorf School of Garden City in New York after graduation. When she's not meeting with students, Cait loves working with horses and spending time with her husband and daughters. Their favorite pastimes are birding, boating, fishing, and crabbing.
